WE INVITE YOU

TO GET INVOLVED AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Wild Heart Sanctuary is a nonprofit organization devoted to rescuing wild mustangs and educating the public about the plight of America's iconic wild horses and burrows.

The Sanctuary is a forever home and safe haven for nine wild mustangs rescued from the Bureau of Land Management round-ups. Many of our horses came directly from kill pens or auctions and were only hours away from being shipped to slaughter.

Our mission is to advocate for the wild horses and burros still running free and those currently in captivity at the BLM holding pens. These remaining wild horses and burros risk endangerment, capture, abuse, and deprivation of their innate freedom.

Founder Sonya Richins is profoundly dedicated to providing the rescued herd with a safe and forever home. At the Sanctuary, she offers plentiful space and love for the mustangs to heal from the traumas of being captured and subjected to captivity. She desires that individuals discover and experience how the wisdom of the wild mustang can promote guidance to paths of transition, self-discovery, connectedness, and awakening.

Wild Heart Sanctuary often works with affiliating nonprofit organizations, schools, and

at-risk individuals who benefit from the healing energetics and therapies of the

Wild Heart Herd.
